Thank you for visiting my blog.
Update 14 July 2017: I have added another another worthy cause to my lists of charities. If anyone is uncomfortable funding an Earthbound Misfit’s College Education there is another worthy cause that could do with some public awareness and financial support – that is for those suffering from CSS. This illness hits pretty close to home and any support will be appreciated and definitely not reported to the IRS. Give from the heart, give ’til it hurts.
“He felt that his whole life was some kind of dream and he sometimes wondered whose it was and whether they were enjoying it.”
To help out I have almost gotten an assignment for a work study position at my college, in the tutoring center no less. I am just waiting for permission to start – hopefully they can find some money so that I don’t have to wait for the fall semester to begin. Also, I am going to be teaching a freelance Google class – a sort of how to use gmail, google docs and drive and sharing files and all that nifty stuff that nobody around me seems to be able to use. So you see, I’m not just being idle asking for handouts. I’m working my butt off and while I’m at it I also need to raise money to participate in a 5K cross country race in August. Click here for the link, and below to donate to that worthy cause (they’re all worthy.)
I know it is in bad form to ask for money but I am a struggling college student and tuition and books gets very expensive (especially when I have no income except what I can get from unemployment while I’m in school). So, if anyone cares to help me fund this venture I would gladly review the book of their choice or let them pick a subject for me to write about. Either way, I hope you enjoy my site and I hope you tell others so at least I’ll get some traffic if not money.
Also, please don’t forget to check out my downloads page for plenty of fun and interesting items to download; these are free but don’t let that stop you from donating to keep the march of progress plodding forward against all of my self sabotage and well intentioned (my spell check underlined this phrase so I had to look it up and apparently the phrase can be either well-intentioned or well intentioned – both meaning, wanting to have good effects, but sometimes having bad effects that were not expected; having or indicating benevolent intentions, usually with unfortunate results – if you need a better definition of CSS you won’t find one) plans that end up being interference. That is one heck of a run on sentence!; a habit I am trying to wean myself off of due to the irate responses from word counters, the grammar police and SEO algorithms – who cares! I will write however I feel and punctuate in any manner I choose; for no good reason – or maybe, a good one!
Whoever relies on the Tao in governing men
doesn’t try to force issues
or defeat enemies by force of arms.
For every force there is a counterforce.
Violence, even well intentioned,
always rebounds upon oneself.
Even the old masters warned us about good intentions, “good intentions sink ships” (or something like that). I should quit while the iron’s hot.
